In 2018, MIV d.d. Varaždin, a globally renowned Croatian manufacturer of valves and fittings, was acquired.
MIV D.D. was founded in 1939 in the northern Croatian city of Varaždin, initially as an iron foundry. Later, the company supplied components for water, wastewater, and desalination systems, for pumping stations, power supply systems, and for the process industry.
MIV D.D.'s particular strength has always been its ability to combine all planning and processing phases under one roof: from design and initial prototype production, casting and other post-processing steps to assembly and final acceptance.
Through continuous optimization of its own production processes, MIV d.d. has recently been able to improve both product quality and production and delivery times. Today, more than 300 employees at the Varaždin site are the driving force behind the growing success of the company.
Further technological improvements and the expansion of the local sales sector following the takeover by the Hawle Deutschland Group have also improved the export quality of the site. The manufactured parts are now sold in more than 40 countries.
